I live in Cochrane and had 6 windows in my house changed a number of years ago to Ray-O-Max windows. ( 2001) Rick Premachuk was the salesman and I would ask that you will give him a copy of this letter for me please. He has been excellent. The two front windows (casement type) that are on either side of the chimney were experiencing some difficulties in staying adjusted. The sashes on these windows were quite large ( Approx 60″ H and 36″ W) and the manner that they opened (out swing like the pages of a book) caused them to go out of adjustment once or twice a year.

Ray-O-Max was always here to re adjust and make it right with no hassle or inconvenience and that service was special in itself. The last adjustment in Sep/Oct of 2008 I discussed with the crew that was sent out that if I had it to do over again I would not have chosen these size of windows that open this way. The crew members that I spoke to said to their knowledge Ray -O-Max does not even make windows with sashes this big that open in this fashion anymore and that they were simply too large to operate trouble free. In fact, I may have had the only set this large but I am not certain. ( learn from experience I guess)

A short time after that last service call I received a call from you. Evidently the crew had mentioned our conversation about the windows. You suggested to me at that time that Ray-O-Max would simply come out and replace the windows with the “awning” type if I was willing to do this. You and I had a conversation as to the size of the “division” that would be “fixed’ and “swing out” and whether or not these “awning type sashes” would be at the tops or the bottoms. I ultimately chose a 60/40 split with the openings to be operated from the bottoms.

(Fast forward to May 2009)

The crew came here at the beginning of May 09 and in a matter of a few hours transformed the entire look of the front of the house with these new windows. They look great ! and as mentioned, completely changed the appearance of the front of the house. It is quite remarkable at the difference it made. I guess its the split in the middle of the pane that contributes to the different look.

The crew was fantastic and were efficient and excellent at the quality of work and their attention to detail.

I am 100% satisfied with the job they did and must again thank them. Well Done!

My neighbours have come to me and asked what was going on and why Ray-O-Max was here and it looked like they were replacing the windows etc. They were wondering if the windows were defective of if they had failed or I was unhappy etc etc. I explained to them the story as mentioned above and they were all VERY impressed that a company, 8 YEARS!! after the fact, would come out and do this. They were even more impressed that Ray-O-Max suggested that this be done! I have also mentioned this situation to a couple of my friends and they too are very impressed with Ray-O-Max and all say that there are not many companies around that will stand by their product and service like you have.

As mentioned above, I am not very good at writing these types of letters because quite frankly I never have to. Your service and commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is uncommon and, it put consumers like myself in a difficult position in trying to express gratitude and appreciation.

Just as a side note here. The replacement windows were ready well before May of 09. Ray-O-Max worked to my schedule and my convenience and that was a great help and was also much appreciated as well.
